Lorice Appel

Lorice Appel, age 74 of Knoxville formerly of Wisconsin and Florida, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2004 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Appel, born in Merrill, Wisconsin attended and graduated from the Milwaukee Lutheran Hospital?s School of Nursing Program and was a Registered Surgical Nurse for over 40 years, having worked at hospitals in Wisconsin and Florida.. She had been an active member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church for the past eight years after moving from Florida to Knoxville following the death of her husband, Roy Appel. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, John Gumtz and a sister, Lois Elliott. Survivors include a daughter and only child, Elaine Lasher and husband, Ken Lasher of Knoxville; sister, Marion Urban of Illinois; nieces, Carol Stark, Marilyn Gumprecht; nephews, Garth Gumtz, Dave Limbach, Mike Cheffer and J.B. Cheffer. Memorial services will be held at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church at a later date. Donation and flowers should be sent to family. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN.
