J. B. Rolen

J. B. Rolen, age 85, of Sevierville, died October 24, 2004. He was a member and deacon of New Salem Baptist Church and was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife Queenie Howard Rolen, parents John and Leeper Norris Rolen, brothers Harlan Richard Rolen and Elgar Rolen, sisters Gladys Huff, Thelma Stoffel, Juanita Howard, Ruth Arms, and Mary Elmere Rolen. Survivors: Son: Larry “Dobie” Rolen Daughter: Judi Maples Grandchildren: Tiffany Sutton and husband Greg, Shawn Maples, Samantha Spurgeon, Alicia Robertson Great-grandchildren: Dusty, Tristan, and Keaton Williams, Shawna Maples, Alyx Maples, and Peighton Spurgeon Brother: Warren Rolen Special life-long friend: Sam Huff Lots of friends and relatives Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. David Newman officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Thursday in Rolen-Breeden Cemetery for graveside service and interment.
