Zettie Evans Wester

Wester, Zettie Evans ?age 100, of Knoxville, born April 4, 1904, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at Shannondale Health Care Center. She was a member of South Knoxville Baptist Church and retired from Miller?s Department Store after 54 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, James Brownlow and Addie Belle Cole Evans; husband, Carl (Purp) Wester; brothers, Clyde, Claude, Raymond, and Edward Evans; sisters, Zella Evans Finger and Helen Evans Price. Survivors include nieces, Mildred Finger Haggard and husband, Alex; Patsy Finger Fletcher and husband, John, Joanne Evans Graham and husband, Edward, Beverly Evans Franke and husband, Mike, Rosemary Price Davenport, Linda Price Weaver, Charlotte Price Budde and husband, Vernon; nephews, Leon and Jack Evans, Eddie and wife, Patti Evans, Bob and wife, Tandi Evans, Robert Evans Price; many great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank Shannondale Health Care, especially the 4th Floor nurses, CNAS and staff, and Adventa Hospice for their care and concern. Funeral service will be held 2 PM on Thursday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rick Phipps. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Those who wish, in lieu of flowers, may make memorials to South Knoxville Baptist Church, 522 Sevier Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
