Edgar Mynatt Thomas, age 86, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 14, 2004. He was an Army veteran of WW II with the 10th Mtn. Div. He was preceded in death by daughter: Carolyn Sue Thomas; his parents: Elijah Roger Thomas and Effie Jane Hodges Thomas; Brothers: Wiley, Stewart, Guy, Lennis, and George Thomas; sisters: Eula Duncan, Juanita Horsley, and Mary Ruth Kitts. Survivors: Wife: Sallie McGill Thomas Daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Ron McCarrell Son and daughter-in-law: Roger and Gayle Thomas, Buster and Brenda Thomas, Gary Thomas, and Michael Thomas 6 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren Funeral Service 7 PM Saturday in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Rev. Robert Settle officiating. Interment 1 PM Sunday in Knob Creek Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post 104.
