Patsy R. Smith

Smith, Patsy R., age 87, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Brakebill Nursing Home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville for 50 years. She was retired from the Tennessee School for the Deaf where she taught Physical Education and coached for 45 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Elizabeth Richards and sister Sandy Neighbert. Niece Pamela Abbott of Barrington, New Hampshire, cousin Evelyn Thomas of Davidson, North Carolina, and special friends Troy and Virginia Haydon of Loudon. A special thanks to the staff at Brakebill Nursing Home for the loving care given to Patsy during her stay there. Funeral service 7:00 PM Tuesday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Jerry Seale officiating. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery Wednesday at 11:00 AM for graveside services. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
