Edith M. (Maw) McCarter, age 83, of Sevierville, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, October 6, 2004. She was a member of Oldhams Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil G. McCarter, sons, Billy and Grant McCarter, daughter Judy McCarter, sisters Laura Watson, Ruth Ownby, Nora Ogle, brothers Jason, Lonzo, Clyde, Luther and Noah Carver, father Joe Carver, and mother Martha Carver Watson. Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law: Wanda Sue McCarter, Donna and Kevin Wilson Grandchildren: Andrew and Katie Wilson Brother and sister-in-law: Shirley and Janice Carver Sister and brother-in-law: Jean and Clyde Cantrell Sisters-in-laws: Anna Mae, Edith, and Jane Carver, Bertha Mullinax, Jean McCarter, and Ruby Rolen Brothers-in-law: Roy McCarter, Walter McCarter, and Glenn Ogle Funeral service 10 AM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Beck and Rev. David Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Glades Cemetery with Rev. Dee Wilson officiating.
