Jeff Murphy

Murphy, Jeff ?age 42, passed away on Tuesday, October 05, 2004 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He worked for the Knox County School System in maintenance for 19 years. He was of the Baptist faith and a friend of many. Preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Sarah Murphy. He is survived by wife, Melanie Shell Murphy; sons, Justin and Jeffrey; daughter, Jenifer; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Tim Payne; mother-in-law, Joyce Shell; father-in-law, Bruce Shell and wife, Janice; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bryan and Tammy Shell; nieces, T.J., Kim and Rachel; and nephew, Bryan Jr. Special thanks to the 8th North nursing staff at Ft. Sanders and to the Knox County School System Maintenance Department. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday for 1 PM graveside services with Rev. Dave Mason. Pallbearers will be: Mike May, Rick Stansberry, Ralph Norris, Ozzie Newcomb, Alan Branch, Mark Clabough, Bryan Shell, and Steve Newman. Honorary pallbearers will be: Justin, J.J. and Bruce Shell. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
