Mary Jean Hasting

Mary Jean Hasting, age 84, died Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at the Spring City Health Care Center in Spring City, Tennessee. She was born in Hazel Green, Alabama July 30, 1920 to Arnold Henry and Blanche Violet (Bobo) Baeder. She and her husband moved to Oak Ridge, Tennessee during World War II and lived there until retirement in 1976 when they moved to Sevierville, Tennessee. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sevierville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry C. Hasting. She is survived by: Sons: Don Hasting of Knoxville, Ken Hasting of Evansville, Tennessee Seven grandchildren Thirteen great-grandchildren Brother: Ted Baeder of Hazel Green, Alabama Sister: Geraldine Moore of Plevna, Alabama Several nieces and nephews A family memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday at Atchley’s Seymour Chapel, Seymour, Tennessee. Rev. Ed Winters will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 10088, Knoxville, Tennessee 37939-9910 or to First United Methodist Church, 214 Cedar Street, Sevierville, Tennessee, 37862.
