Lee Roy Jones

Lee Roy Jones, age 68, of Seymour, passed away at home on Sunday, November 21, 2004, after an extended illness. He was part owner of Main Street Texaco and worked for Eledge Oil Co. for 23 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and restoring V.W.’s, and he had a love for animals. He was preceded in death by father and mother Sam and Parlee Cates Jones, brothers William (Bud), Bobby, Paul, Earl, G. H., and Charlie, sisters Bonnie Gladys Glenn, Ella Spriggs, and daughter Barbara Ann Jones. Survivors: Wife: Mary Edna Christopher Jones Son and his wife: Michael and Lynn Jones Grandchild: Madalyn R. Jones Sister: Mildred Johnson Sisters-in-law: Georgia, Myrtle and Jane Jones Special nephews: Jack and Gary Glenn Close friends: Ann and Randy Keasler, and all his friends from the V.W. Shop The family would like to extend a special thanks to Covenant Hospice and to his nurse, Julie Crum. Funeral service 7 PM Tuesday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Jester officiating and a eulogy delivered by Rev. Ernie Coleman.
