CARR, CLARENCE, age 79 of Knoxville, passed away in his home. He was proceded in death by mother and father Elva Carr Clarence Carr Sr.; brothers Lloyd Carr; sister Anna Ruth Carr; son and daughter Freddie Carr and baby Mary. He is survived by a loving wife Evelyn Carr; sons and daughter-in-laws; Joe and Joan Carr, Clarence Bryant, Darrell and Niki Carr, Roger and Connie Carr all of Knoxville; daughters and sons-in-law; Pat and Phillip Romines, Susan and Joe Davis, Nancy Goins, Sheri and Billy Norman and special stepson Greg Young; brothers Milan Carr of Halls, David Carr of Missouri; sisters Mary Tillie of Maynardville, Illa Mae Mahan of Halls; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8 PM at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Chapel service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM, with the graveside services following, with Rev Robert Mellgard and LB Herrell of Highland View Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers: Roger Carr, Joe Davis, Billy Norman, Kenneth Spencer, and Darrell Carr. this was my grandfather.he was a kind gentel man with the best apple orchard in the world as a child i remember the small country home which seamed so large to me because of the root cellar and the hot water tank as a bench where my cousins and i used to play i found this site by accident and it brought such fond memories of that grand old time from the past as i am now 53 and and the past seems to lap into the present the older i get the only thing wrong is he did not passsed away at home but at st.marys hospital knoxville tn i know i was there thanks for this chance to remember him

i may be wrong about the place of death he may have died at home i really dont remember still i loved him and he was a wonderful man thanks for the chance to comment
