Mary Elizabeth ?Granny? Bellamy

Bellamy, Mary Elizabeth ?Granny? ?age 92, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2004 at Brakebill Nursing Home. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Whether it be in songs, music or poems, granny?s main goal in life was telling others about her Lord Jesus Christ and his love for them. Preceded in death by husband, Henry E. Bellamy; father, William Long; mother, Kate Stout Long; brothers, Theodore, Corbit and James Long and sisters, Dixie and Irene Long . She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Lavelle Bellamy, grandson and wife, Tommy and Kathy Bellamy; great-granddaughters ?her babies?, Leah Nicole and Hannah Joy Bellamy, whom loves you and has many precious memories; sister and brother-in-law, Flora and J.W. Leatherwood and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Brakebill Nursing Home. Family and friends will meet at Mt. Olive Cemetery on Friday for 2 PM graveside services, Rev. Tommy Bellamy officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
