Harold Porterfield, Sr.

Porterfield, Sr., Harold, age 85, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday morning, November 16, 2004. Retired from Palm Beach Clothing Company in 1985 after 40 years. He proudly served as Private First Class in the United States Army for 6 years with the Sixth Calvary during WWII. Harold loved his family, his country and rabbit hunting. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy; daughters, Jo Ann Garner and Vickie Huskey; sons, Ernie, Harold, Jr. and Michael Porterfield; brother, Clyde Porterfield; sister Eva Torbett; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday, November 19, 2004 at Berry Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM following visitation with Rev. Rebecca Milligan officiating. Family and friends will meet at Highland South Cemetery on Saturday for 11:00 AM interment service with military honors by Veterans United Honor Guard.
