Fred Maples

Maples, Fred (Ted) age 85 of Knoxville, Passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at Shannondale Health Care Center. He was a long time member of Second United Methodist Church. He was the former owner of Trent Printing Company, Inc. and served in the United States Marines during World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of Masonic Oriental Lodge No. 453. He was proceeded in death by his parents, George and Rebecca Maples; sisters; Elizabeth Cole, and Esabelle Mellon; Brother Glen Maples; granddaughters, Whitney Elizabeth Maples and Brandy Dana Maples. He is survived by a loving wife of 59 years, Ruth S. Maples; sons and daughters-in-law; Gerald David and Lynda Maples, Danny and Carol Maples; grandchildren; Laura M. Morgan and husband Gary, Brent T. Maples and wife Page; great-grandchildren; Bailey and Sarah Morgan, Emily and Evan Maples. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 PM, with the Funeral services following at 8 PM at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Arden Taylor and Rev. Allan Taylor officiating. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Cemetery on Friday for an 11 AM graveside service.
