Roger Sebby

SEBBY, ROGER, age 63, lost a short but courageous battle with cancer and went home to be with his Lord Jesus on Thursday, November 11, at Ft. SandersRegional Medical Center. He was born in Campbell County on September 1, 1941. Roger was owner and operator of S & W Laboratories in Knoxville for 28 years. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Powell and was very involved with mission trips around the world. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and was an avid outdoorsman. He is preceded in death by his parents, O.J. and Evelyn Sebby, mother and father-in-law, Ike and Jerry Peters, all of LaFollette, TN. Left to mourn his passing, but to celebrate his life, are wife, Marilyn Peters Sebby of Powell; daughters, Karen Sebby of Knoxville, Jeanie Phillips and son-in-law Kim, of Oak Ridge; sister, Nancy and husband, Delano Parrott of LaFollette; brothers, John (Lily) of Union County, David (Eunice) of Knoxville, Charles (Debby) of LaFollette and several other family members and very close friends. A celebration of life will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Powell with Rev. Phil Jones officiating. Entombment will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Amanns, Ernie Cox, J. W. Davis, Kyle Hamilton, Larry Shepherd and Jim Wiseman. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 P.M. on Saturday at the church prior to the service.
