Branch, Mildred Francis Douglas, age 85, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 30, 2004. Long-time member of Meridian Baptist Church. Retired from TVA. Preceded in death by husband Harley A. Branch; daughter Rebecca B. Nichols. Daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Teddy Welch; grandchildren: Melissa Miller, Jeff Petree, Melinda Lentz, and Steven Petree; great-grandchildren: Victoria and Kaitlyn Lentz; McKenzie Petree; Jonah and Anna Miller; sisters: Dorothy Bumgarner, Alma Raynolds; brothers: Jim Douglas and Carroll Douglas; several nieces, nephews, and special friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meridian Baptist Church 6513 Chapman Highway Knoxville, TN 37920. Please specify to be used for Missions. Funeral service Tuesday, 8:00 PM, Berry Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will meet Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery for interment services. Pallbearers will be Jerry, Doug, and John Bumgarner; Alan Raynolds; Scott Douglas; and Jon Crye. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
