Mabel Moorefield Gillentine

Mabel Moorefield Gillentine, 82, died Saturday, May 15, 2004, in Sevierville, TN. Ms. Gillentine retired from the Ohio school system where she was a teacher and principal for many years. She was a faithful member of the Northridge Church of Christ in Dayton, OH for over fifty years until she moved to Tennessee in 2002 due to illness. She was preceded in death by husbands Walter Jackson Moorefield and Lonnie Mason Gillentine. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Nancy and John Daniels of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Kelly Lockwood of Denver, CO, Heather Webb of Newport, TN, Holly Stephens of Maryville, TN and Bradley and Brittany Daniels of Sevierville, TN; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Ainsley and Alexandra Lockwood of Denver, CO and Montgomery Leigh Webb of Newport, TN; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Goolsby and Opal Starks; and special friends Lee Beckley and Jack and Carlene Harley. Funeral service 11AM Friday at Northridge Church of Christ, Dayton, Ohio. Ministers John B. Daniels(son-in-law), Brad Poe, and Larry Phillips(nephew)Interment will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9-11AM Friday at Northridge Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sevierville Church of Christ, P.O. Box 4125, Sevierville, TN 37864.
