Freda Hayes Brewer James

James, Freda Hayes Brewer, age 54, our Angel on Earth became an Angel in Heaven with the Lord Tuesday, May 4, 2004, after battling breast cancer for about four years. She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. She worked in the Knox County School System over 18 years. Preceded in death by first husband, Perry Brewer; father, Mayford Hayes; and brothers, James Hayes, Maxie Hayes, and LeRoy Hayes. Husband, Doug; sons, Craig J. Brewer and wife, M. Denise Brewer, Greg P. Brewer and Brittany Rose; stepdaughters, Mandy and Angie James; mother, Mae Hayes; sister, Ruby Patterson and husband, Jim; brother, Don Widener and wife, Wanda; many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Sevier Heights Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM, Dr. Hollie Miller and Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery Friday for 11:00 AM interment services. Pallbearers will be Benny Brewer, Todd James, Jack James, Chris Watkin, Steve Bean and Vincent Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Ford, Don Cain, Michael Hayes and Gary Ely. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G.
