DeNIO, DAVID A., age 70 of Fountain City, passed away Monday, May 3, 2004. He was a member of Northside Christian Church and employed by Superior Medical Supply. He was a Korean War Veteran in the U.S. Army. Survived by wife: Betty C. DeNio; children: Sara and husband Vaughn Schutz, Harrogate, TN; Dr. James and wife Stacey Calvert , Dallas, TX; Alison DeNio and husband Wes Hamilton, Winona, MN; Jerrica DeNio, Knoxville; Terri Norbaum, Debbie Stelmach, David DeNio, all of New York; 18 grandchildren, sister-in-law, Jan DeNio, several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Friday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Frits Haverkamp and Vaughn Schutz officiating. Interment 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Lynnhurst Cemetery with Military Honors by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Northside Christian Church, Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday before the service at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home 2300 W. Adair Drive.
