Mattie Ruth Burdine

Burdine, Mattie Ruth, age 84, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, March 29, 2004 at 11:50 AM at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville and was retired from House-Hasson. Preceded in death by parents, Wesley and Luvenie Burdine; sister, Marybelle Burdine; and brothers, Ben, Tim and John Burdine. sisters-in-law, Mildred B. Tarwater of Rockford and Lucy M. Burdine of Michigan; several nieces, nephews and special friends. Family and friends will meet at 12:00 Noon Wednesday for graveside services at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with her nephew, Rev. Chris Cupp officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Knoxville Renovation Fund, 510 Main Street, Knoxville, Tennessee 37902. Friends may call at their convenience on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
