Ruth English McCarter Berrier, 77, of South Knoxville passed away Saturday July 31, 2004 at the Baptist Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Berrier; daughter, Patricia Smith and granddaughter, Kathy Caughron. Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law; Ida and Marion Hayes Sons; Ronnie and Haskell Berrier Grandchildren; Tony Hayes, Melissa Cutshaw, Rebecca Forester, Edward Smith, Teresa Owens, Tonya Sanders, Michelle Gallant 14 great grandchildren Sisters; Pauline Loveday, Gladys Maples, Omie Swaggerty Several nieces and nephews Funeral service 7 PM Tuesday at Atchley’s Seymour Chapel. Rev. Bill McCarter officiating. Interment 11 AM Wednesday in Seven Islands Cemetery.
