Sam Duncan

Duncan, Sam, age 59, of South Knoxville went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 10, 2004. Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was also a Mason. Sam was co-owner of Sam and Jerry?s Markets. He coached youth baseball, basketball and football and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Maxine Duncan; sister Doris Warren; brother Danny Duncan. Loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Jody Harris Duncan; son and daughter-in-law Randy and Kamela Duncan; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Les Mullins; grandchildren whom he cherished, Ashlyn Wynns, Miranda and Caleb Duncan; sisters: Juanita Wilson of Miami, FL; Bobbie Pruitt of White Pine, TN; Brenda Mosley of Harlan, KY; Sandra Hinson of Dandridge, TN; and Judy Elkins of White Pine, TN; brothers: Melvin Reynolds of Las Vegas, NV; Charles Duncan of Morristown, TN; ?Jim? Larry Kenneth Duncan of Miami, FL; Rev. Troy Duncan of Dandridge, TN; and Roy Duncan of Whitesburg, TN; along with lots of nieces, nephews and many close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Boys and Girls Clubs of Knoxville. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, Dandridge Full Gospel Ministries Church, 550 East Meeting Street, Dandridge, Rev. Troy Duncan and Rev. Dennis Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Hills Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his brothers Troy, Roy, Charles, Melvin, Jim Duncan and close friend, Dr. Tom Kim. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN.
