Frederick L. Meyer

Frederick L. “Fred” Meyer, age 94 of Birmingham, Alabama died Thursday, April 29, 2004. He was the son of Ellen Thompson and Louis Conrad Meyer. Mr. Meyer was born in Alabama but spent most of his life in New York City and Gatlinburg. He served in the United States Army during WWII in the 29th Infantry Division. He landed on Omaha Beach in France on “D-Day”. He is survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and great-nieces. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Tuesday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens, Pigeon Forge for graveside service and interment with military honors provided. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home.
