Melody Allison (Hazel Potts)

Melody Allison (Hazel Potts), of Sevierville, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004. Melody devoted her life to helping others through many facets of nursing. After graduating Everett HS, Maryville, TN in 1952, she earned her RN from East TN Baptist Hospital, Knoxville and later in life earned a BS degree from Saint Mary’s-of-the-Woods College, IN and a Masters degree from the University Of Louisville, KY. She served as the Administrator of Nursing for various hospitals including Knoxville’s Park West. She enjoyed teaching nursing at UT before retiring. She will be missed by her children, Lea and Art Cavender, Jeni and Bob Dalton, Stu Teffeteller and Trish and Randy Selgrath. She is survived by seven grandchildren and ten siblings Charles Potts, Robert Potts, Helen Foster, Betty Purcell, John Potts, James Potts, Randy Potts, Gail Whitehead, Judy Austin, Tommy Potts and is preceded in death by Rosalee Potts.
