Ethel Ruth Johnson King

King, Ethel Ruth Johnson, age 94, formerly of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of New Prospect Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by husband, Ben H. King, Sr. Son, Ben H. King, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, John P. King and Rev. Gaye King of Rockford; brothers, Denver and Loren Johnson; sister, Geneva Johnson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service Saturday, 1:00 PM, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Gaye King officiating. Interment will follow at New Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to New Prospect Presbyterian Church, 6200 Sevierville Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920 or to Asbury Place, 2648 Sevierville Road, Maryville, Tennessee 37804. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM Saturday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
