Addie Rule Wise

Wise, Addie Rule, age 85, of Knoxville, died Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at the University of Tennessee Hospital. A member of Meridian Baptist Church for more than 40 years, she taught Sunday School in the Primary Department for many years. Mrs. Wise received her B.S. Degree in Home Economics from The University of Tennessee and was a teacher of Home Economics and primary grades for several years. Preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Elizabeth Burnette Rule of Sevierville, Tennessee; her beloved husband of 56 years, Norman Kenneth Wise, Sr.; brothers, Dr. H. S. Rule of Covington, Tennessee and B. Wiley Rule of Sevierville, Tennessee; sisters, Maude Rule Walker of Sevierville, Ruby Rule Delozier Reed of Sevierville, Margaret Rule Delozier of Maryville, Tennessee and Myrl Rule Russell of Sevierville. Sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Wise, Jr. and Deborah Thompson Wise and Stephen Rule Wise and Linda Temple Wise; 5 grandchildren, Anne, Alexander, Janie, Miriam and Jamie Wise, all of Knoxville; sisters, Georgia Rule Adams and Norma Rule Mitchell, both of Maryville, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy. A graveside service in celebration of her life will be held Friday October 31, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Alcoa Highway with Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Meridian Baptist Church Capital Improvement Fund or to The University of Tennessee Hospital Cancer Research Center.
