Robert E. Wilson

Robert E. Wilson, age 78 of Sevierville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 7, 2003. He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Wesleyan Sunday School class. He was an Army Air Corps veteran having served in the Pacific Theater during World War II and was an active member of American Legion Post #104. He was retired from the Housing and Urban Development federal government agency in Washington, D.C. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Laura Wilson, sisters Ethyl Dunham and Helen Wilson, brother Harry Wilson, and nephew Charles Harter Survivors: Sister: Virginia Brower of Hendersonville, NC Brothers: John Wilson of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and William Wilson of Sevierville Nieces and Nephews: Ronald Brower of Holland; Greg Brower of Loganville, GA; Sandra Weadon, Cynthia Wilson, Linda Womaski, Gary Wilson and John Wilson, all of South Carolina; Steve and Susan Wilson of Sevierville; David Wilson of Ooltewah Several great nieces and nephews Funeral service 11 AM Friday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. H. B. Hauk and Rev. Bobby Ely officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens with military honors provided by American Legion Post # 104. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
