Lena Trundle Catlett

Lena Trundle Catlett, age 91 of Boyd’s Creek died Friday March 21, 2003 at Fort Sanders Sevier Nursing Home where she was a resident. Lena was born September 23, 1911 and lived her entire life in the Boyd’s Creek community. She was a member of Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church where she served as treasurer for many years and was an elder. Lena had many friends. Dr. McGaha and the staff at Fort Sanders Sevier Nursing Home are to be commended for their excellent care for her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Catlett, brothers, Raymond and Benton Trundle, Sr., sisters Anna Kate Ellis and Nellie Hammer, and a nephew James Hammer. Survivors: Sister: Stella Trundle Nephews: Benton Trundle, Jr., Sammie, Benton,Francis Hammer,Paul Ellis and their wives Niece: Mary Emma Ellis Brugh, and James Hammer’s wife Jean. Several grandnieces and grandnephews Funeral service 4PM Sunday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. W.A. Galyon officiating. Family and friends will meet 1PM Monday at Shiloh Cemetery for graveside service and interment. Honorary pallbearers will be, Samuel Hammer, Benton Hammer, Francis Hammer, Benton Trundle, Jr., and Paul Ellis. The family will receive friends from 3-4PM Sunday at Atchley Funeral Home.
