PATTERSON, KENNETH O., age 71 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday March 20, 2003 at St. Mary?s Medical Center. Member of the Baptist faith. U.S. Army Veteran of Korea. Preceded in death by parents, Foster L. and Mary L. Phillips Patterson; sister, Louise Phillips; special father-in-law, George W. Byrge. Survivors: wife of 33 years, Colleen Byrge Patterson: sisters, Helen and husband James Provence of Knoxville, Tn; Rosella Harris of Coalfield,Tn; special adopted grandson, Spencer Lafollette; brothers-in-law: George Byrge, Jr., William Byrge; sisters-in-law: Jackie Burns and Gerrie Byrge; mother-in-law, Catherine Byrge. Several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Sister Mary Martha Nabor, St. Mary?s Medical Center and the nursing staff of 3rd central. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Saturday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Ron Guthrie officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery Sunday 2:00 p.m. for graveside service with Military Honors by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
