Aulba Lee Scott

Scott, Aulba Lee, age 84, passed away Monday, March 17, 2003, at NHC-St. Mary's. She was born to William Francis Snodderly and Mary Love Bolinger on August 16, 1918 in Union County, Tennessee. She was a life long Methodist and DAV member. She was a loved and noted educator, author and historian. Her great-great-grandfather, Henry Snodderly founded Snodderly's Methodist Church, Hines Creek, Union County in 1893. She was preceded in death by husband of 54 years, J.V. Scott; sister, Pauline McLaughlin; twin grandchildren, Melissa and Tyler Scott; great-granddaughter, Loren Stewart; and nephew, Cloyd Onks, Jr. Sons, Jon Victor Scott and wife, Connie of Knoxville; Douglas Lee Scott and wife, Jeannie of Blount County; and Kevin B. Scott of South Knoxville; grandchildren, Stephen Brett Scott and wife, Angie; Tim Scott of Knoxville; Jason Scott and David Scott of Maryville; Tammy Scott Stewart and husband David of Clinton; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Heather Stewart of Clinton; Katelyn and Allyson Scott of Knoxville; sisters, Bonnie Alyce Onks of North Vernon, Indiana and Joyce Nell Likens of Greensburg, Indiana; brothers, Sneed Snodderly of North Vernon, Indiana and Rice G. Snodderly of Cocoa Beach, Florida; beloved special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends: Steve, Lynn, Tina, Kathy, David, DeJon, DeWayne, Flo, Mary Anna, Tonya and Cherylee. A special thank you to the staff of NHC St. Mary's and Dr. Simmons. Funeral service Tuesday, 7:00 PM, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. William C. Stooksbury of St. Luke's United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery for interment services. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Jason, Brett, David, and Tim Scott; nephews DeJon and DeWayne Snodderly and Steve Woodruff and David Stewart. Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway in charge of arrangements.
