Jake Wilson

Wilson, Jake, age 81, of South Knoxville, passed away March 15, 2003 at UT Hospital. Member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Retired as Senior Vice-President of Home Federal Bank and President of Investors Trust Company Home Federal. He was a veteran of US Navy and served during WWII. Member of Cherokee Lodge #728 F & AM, Kerbela Temple, Scottish Rite. Preceded in death by father Rev. Joe H. Wilson and mother Nancy Jane Phillips Wilson. Wife of 57 years, Elva Bunker Wilson; special aunt, Magalene Tackett, several cousins. Funeral 10:00 AM Monday Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Doug White and Rev. Deron Cobb officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriner Hospital c/o Kerbela Temple, 315 Mimosa Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37920. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
