Earl Kenneth Burkhart

Burkhart, Earl Kenneth, age 101, of Knoxville, born on February 22, 1902 died March 10, 2003 at his home. Earl was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a dairy farmer. He was the son and last surviving child of the late James M. and Sophia Burkhart. Preceded in death by wife Blanche Cruze Burkhart, brothers Robert, Ruble, Leslie and Harold Burkhart; sisters Irene Baird and Louise Cruze. Son James O. Burkhardt and wife Lennis; grandchildren: James O. Burkhardt, Jr. and wife Gayle of Pensacola, Florida; Doug Burkhardt and wife Peggy of Kodak, Tennessee; Angela B. Wells and husband Larry of Kodak, Tennessee; step-grandchildren: Pat Foust and husband Ron; Doris Blodgett and husband Stewart; great-grandchildren: Amber and Heather Burkhardt, Brooke B. French and husband B.J., Adam and Aaron Burkhardt, Craig, Brent and Tracy Wells; step-great-grandchildren Stephanie Owens and husband Jody, Jonathan Foust, Ben and Stephen Blodgett; several nieces and nephews; special niece Sophia Marie Cruze. The Rev. Wallace Newman will hold graveside services at 10:00 AM Thursday at Asbury Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
