Verliss Loveday

Loveday, Verliss "Curly", age 81, of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2003 at Ft. Sanders Hospital. Member of Marbledale Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy and was retired from Cherokee Aviation. Preceded in death by wife, Minnie Pauline Loveday; granddaughter, Jennifer Leigh Claxton; and many brothers and sisters. Daughters, Linda Monson and husband, Joe; Carolyn Sue Loveday, and Janet Bass; granddaughters, Sarah Wier, Connie Burt, and Carolyn Monson; great-grandchildren, Avery Claxton, Joe, Andy, and Nathan Burt, and Chris Monson; brother, Donald Loveday and wife, Bonnie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service 2:30 PM Saturday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Lee Chorn officiating. Interment will follow at Middlecreek Cemetery, Sevierville, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marbledale Baptist Church Building Fund, 5800 Thorngrove Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37914. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
