LaVerne Self Thomas

Thomas, LaVerne Self, age 84, of South Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at Creswell/Beverly Healthcare in Rome, Georgia. She was a former member of Mountain View United Methodist Church and worshipped at Fayetteville Church of Christ prior to her death. Preceded in death by her husband W.H. Thomas of South Knoxville. Daughters and sons-in-law: Peggy T. and Paul Davis of Rocky Face, GA; Brenda T. and Edward Jones of Fayetteville, GA; Sandra L. Stark of Lithonia, GA; grandchildren: Katrina, Angela, Melanie, Robert, Johnny, Keith, Sandra, and Michael Paul; sisters-in-law: Alice T. French of Rockwood, TN; Linda T. Pratt of Knoxville, TN; Blanche Thomas of Roanoke, VA; Flormae Thomas of Knoxville, TN; numerous and very special great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at 2:30 PM Sunday at Bookwalter Cemetery for graveside services, grandson-in-law Preacher Geoffrey R. Mabe of South Knoxville Church of Christ officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
