Imogene Oliva Turner

Turner, Imogene Oliva, of Clinton, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at the Windwood Health Care Center at the age of 83. Wife of Walter E. Turner. She was formerly of Knoxville where she lived in West Hills for 34 years before moving to Clinton. She was a graduate of Young High School where she was in the National Honor Society and a graduate of the Knoxville Business College. She was a member of the New Hopewell Baptist Church for 14 years. She served as church clerk and Sunday school teacher. She helped set up a church library and trained others to work in the library. She later became a member of Central Baptist Church of Bearden. She was a member of the 10:00 O?Clock Garden Club of West Hills and a Boy Scout troop leader. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by parents, Alex and Pearl Nelson Clark; brother, Orville Clark; brother Curtis and wife, Marie Clark; sister-in-law, Lucille Clark. Husband, Walter Turner; brother, Cecil Clark of Knoxville; two sons Gary and wife, Anna and granddaughter, Kimberly Turner of Clinton; John and wife Susan and granddaughter, Laura Turner of Clinton; niece, Glenda Jett; nephew, Jerry Clark of Knoxville; several dear and close friends. The Turner family would like to thank the Windwood Health Care Center staff for their wonderful care and support. Funeral service 10:00 AM Saturday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Henry Chiles officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM Friday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
