Gladys Franklin Marshall

Marshall, Gladys Franklin, age 96, of South Knoxville, passed away Monday, June 23, 2003 at Baptist Hospital. She was a long time member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and she was also the President of the Mt. Olive School PTA for a number of years. Preceded in death by husband, John Sydney Marshall; son, Gerald Sydney Marshall; sister, Nell Eggers; brothers, Claude and Jimmy Franklin. Sons and daughters-in-law: James Franklin and Yolanda Marshall of West Palm Beach, FL; C. Douglas and Susan Marshall of Homewood, AL; daughter-in-law, Lynne Marshall of Knoxville; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at Mt. Olive Cemetery at 11:00 AM Thursday for graveside services, Rev. Deron Cobb officiating. Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920.
