Mayford J. Myers

Myers, Mayford J., age 70, of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2003, at U.T. Hospital after a battle with cancer. Mayford was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Rosa Myers; brothers, Bruce, Billy, and Jerry Myers. Include his wife of 49 years, Reba Myers and two sons, George Myers and wife Cindy of Seymour and Michael Myers and fianc? Susie of Knoxville; seven grandchildren, who he adored with all of his heart, granddaughters, Erin and Ashley Myers and grandsons, Matthew, Corey, Alex, Tyler and Jake Myers; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Rita Myers of Knoxville; sisters, Bobbie Myers, Ruby Tipton and Mary Stalcup all of Seymour and a host of nieces, nephews and in-laws; and very special friends, Jim and Barney Milligan. The family would like to thank all of the staff of the U.T. Cancer Center for their devotion and kindness to Mayford during his illness. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Alcoa Highway at 1:00 PM Wednesday for graveside services with the Rev. Becky Milligan officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
