Charles M. Raney, Jr.

Raney, Charles M., Jr., age 83, of South Knoxville, passed away Friday, February 28, 2003 at Baptist Hospital. Member of Bookwalter United Methodist Church. Charles retired from Allright Parking - Hilton Garage. He was a veteran of World War II. Wife of 62 years, Virginia Woods Raney; daughter and son-in-law, Donna R. and James Williams; son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Lezlie Raney; grandchildren, Stacy Williams and husband, Terry Wilcox; Robin Sharp and husband, Allen, Nicholas and Wesley Raney; great-grandchildren, Dani Williams, Logan and Maddison Sharp; sister, Geneva Canup; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Sunday for a 2:00 PM graveside service with Rev. Scott Gouge officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 4708 Papermill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37909. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
