Ben C. Burnett

Burnett, Ben C. age 70, of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday February 20, 2003 at Baptist Hospital. Member of First Baptist Church Pigeon Forge. Retired from Roadway Express with 33 years service. He was an avid Trout fisherman and traveler. He was a great husband, father, son, grandfather, and friend. Preceded in death by father, Hugh Burnett. Wife of 49 years Glenda P. Burnett; sons and daughters-in-law Scott and Kathy Burnett, Kelly and Patsy Burnett, Todd and Brenda Burnett, mother Georgia K. Burnett; grandchildren Patrick, Josh, Travis, Jessica and Kelsey Burnett, Dr. Abdul Almatria, all of Knoxville. Funeral service 8:00 PM Saturday at Berry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Brooks officiating. Interment services 2:00 PM Sunday in New Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge P.O. Box 98 Pigeon Forge, TN 37868. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
