James Roy Abbott

James R. Abbott, age 77 of Pigeon Forge, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2003. He was a member of Smithwood Baptist Church and was a navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his father and mother John and Mary Abbott; brothers John, Jr., Charles and George Abbott; and sister Iva Pauline Woods. Survivors: Wife: Juanita Helton Abbott Step-daughters: Brenda McClure and Patricia Settle Three step-grandchildren Five step-great-grandchildren Special great-grandchild: Star Morgan Brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe and Irene Abbott, Ray and Elizabeth Abbott Sister: Rhonda Weston and her husband Sisters-in-law: Lucy Abbott, Gladys Abbott Special uncle and aunt: Tom and Sandra Abbott Funeral service 7 PM Saturday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel, Pigeon Forge. Rev. Ray Burkett, Rev. Beecher Huskey and Rev. Bethel Crisp officiating. Interment 2 PM Sunday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel, 220 Emert Street, Pigeon Forge, TN. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
