Claude Vernon Conley, Sr.

Conley, Claude Vernon Sr., age 66, passed away Monday, February 3, 2003 at U.T. Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dovie Loraine Conley of Knoxville; mother, Mary Hughes Conley; sister, Brenda Floyd; and son-in-law, Steve Clabough, Sr. Daughters, Donna Clabough of Knoxville; Sharen and husband, Mike Burton of Maryville; Karen and husband, Tom Hansel of Virginia Beach; son, Claude Vernon Conley, Jr. and wife, Angel of Walland; Clyde Lawrence Conley of Knoxville; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. Funeral service 2:00 PM Thursday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Lee Howard Fuller of Maryville officiating. Interment will follow in Clarks Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Hansel, Mike Burton, Larry Burton, Rocky Walker, Junior Thomas and Cotton Thomas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
