Victor A. Creo, Sr., 83, of Pigeon Forge passed away Sunday August 31, 2003 resulting from injuries sustained in a fall. Victor was of the Catholic faith. He was a proud veteran of WWII, serving in the Liberation of France and Germany. He was a decorated soldier receiving the Bronze Star for bravery in combat. He was a Staff SGT of the 44th Infantry Signal Division. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Mary Ellen, parents Benedict and Julia Creo, sister, Christina Moricoli, son-in-law, Terry W. Chance. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law: Victor Angelo Jr. and Linda Creo Daughters: Dawn Ellen DeBlois and husband Stephen, and Nina Barbara Chance Grandchildren: Victoria and Joseph Laney, Candace Nicole Creo and friend Matt Regas, Katherine Leigh DeBlois and fiancĂ© Jason Moskola, Maria Dawn Chance, Robert Angelo Chance Great Grandson: Joseph Bryce Laney Sisters: Mary Facchiano, Victoria Quadrel, Gloria DeMeo, all of New Jersey Many devoted and loved “favorite” nieces and nephews and cousins and a host of friends and acquaintances, and special long time friend Georgia Kramer. Funeral service 1PM Thursday in Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel with Rev. W.W. Cope officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens with military honors by American Legion Post 104. The family will receive friends from 6-9PM Wednesday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel, Pigeon Forge, TN (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
