Hubert Paul Sexton

Hubert Paul Sexton, 72 of Seymour, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 27, 2003. He was born November 9, 1930 in Sevier County. He was a devoted member of Dripping Springs Baptist Church, where he served as Director of Sunday School and Adult Sunday School Teacher. He also served as Executive Board member of the Sevier County Baptist Association. He was retired from Dixie Bearings after 25 years of service. Mr. Sexton was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from Feb. 1951-1953. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vena and Alb Sexton and sister, Barbara Lee. Survivors: Wife of 49 years: Caroline Lewelling Sexton of Seymour Son and daughter-in-law: Hubert Paul, Jr. and Ronda Sexton of Seymour Daughter and son-in-law: Sheila and Randy Clabough of Powell Grandchildren: Justin Paul Sexton, Madison Victoria Clabough Brothers and sisters-in-law: Ray and Faye Sexton of Rossville, GA; Bearl and Joyce Sexton of Ringgold, GA Sisters and brother-in-law: Jearoldine McKoane of Dunwoody, GA; Brenda and Ted Milligan of Maryville Several nieces and nephews, special neighbors and many friends Funeral service 7 PM Friday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. John Whitehead and Rev. Hudson Chesteen officiating. Interment 10 AM Saturday in Dripping Springs Cemetery with Rev. Edward Adams officiating. Pallbearers will be Ben Sexton, Robert Sexton, Brian Lee, Donnie Floyd, Donny Burress, Jeremiah Wright. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
