Carl Herbert Maples

Carl Herbert Maples, age 75 of Kodak, died Sunday, August 24, 2003. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was retired from National Plastics. He was preceded in death by his children Loretta Jane, Imogene, Linda Ruth, James Herbert and Melvin Larry; parents George Pinkney and Loretta Haggard Maples; brothers Victor, Roy, Samuel, Hugh and Walter Maples; and sisters Lester Stiles and Maude Woodby. Survivors: Wife: Virginia Ruth Maples Daughters: Brenda Faye Johnson, Wanda Kay Smith Grandchildren: Fred Johnson II, Carla Pearson, Terry Duke, Rhonda Thornton, Becky Leonard Great-grandchildren: Jessica Chesney, Chelsea Pearson, Shelbie Johnson, Malinn Johnson, Lacy Brackins, Paigen Brackins, Daniel Leonard, Jeremy Thornton, Billy Thornton Brothers: Hollis and Claude Maples Sister: Nora Conner Family and friends will meet 11 AM Wednesday at Pollard Cemetery for graveside service and interment. Rev. Mike Boatfield will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Preston, Tommy and David Maples, Tommy Smith, Mike Glenn, and Alvin Maples.
