Geneva Swafford

Swafford, Geneva, of South Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2002. She was a member of Church Street United Methodist Church and long-time faithful member of the Volunteer Sunday School class, and the Order of the Eastern Star, May Chapter #24. Miss Swafford was retired from Southern Coffin and Casket Company where she served as office manager and financial officer. She was preceded in death by parents, Logan and Addie Swafford; brothers, Hooper, Sanford, Homer, and Herbert Swafford; sisters, Ruby Swafford and Willie Bible. Sisters, Jamie Kalavski of Silver Spring, MD and Mary Hembree; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Berry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Cabel Trent and Rev. William J. Fowler officiating. Interment will follow Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Spring City Cemetery in Spring City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
