Ruth E. Walker

Walker, Ruth E. age 86, of Strawberry Plains, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at UT Hospital. She was born in Jefferson City, TN and was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, has been attending South Knoxville Church of Christ. Preceded in death by husband, Lloyd Lee Walker. Sons and daughters-in-law: Jack and Jeanine Walker, Roy and Betty Walker, Jim and Jane Walker, all of Knoxville; sister, Pauline Ware of Jefferson City, TN; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 PM Thursday Berry Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Tom Miller and Mr. Jeoffrey Mabe, Ministers officiating. The family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 11:30 AM Friday for graveside service and interment. Honorary Pallbearers will be Russ, David, Dewayne and Ken Walker. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
