Laura Elizabeth Halstead

Halstead, Laura Elizabeth, age 19, of Knoxville, formerly of Upstate New York. She is a lover of animals and a veterinary assistant. She is a graduate of Seymour High School. She is preceded in death by grandmother, Barbara Boice and grandfather, Cecil Halstead. Survived by mother, Ellen Boice; father and step-mother, David and Michele Halstead; brothers, Peter Halstead of Craryville, NY and Sean Halstead of Knoxville; grandfather, Myron Boice; of Kingston, N.Y. grandmother, Catherine Halstead of Craryville, NY; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in West Taghkanic, New York, on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at 10:00 a.m., with Father Raymond J. Ethier officiating. Interment to follow in the West Copake Reform Church Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Seymour, Tennessee on Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at 7:30 p.m., with Father Evan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Companion Animal Fund, College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee, Box 1071, Knoxville, Tennessee 37901-1071.
