Paul (Pavel) (Mayland) Jurca

Jurca, Paul (Pavel) (Mayland), passed away Thursday, November 16, 2002, 3:15 a.m., at UT Hospital. He had been in declining health for the past year. He had 17 years of dedicated service to Florida Steel/Ameristeel Corp. as a machinist and prior to that was employed for several years at Formall Plastics Company as a dye and mold maker. He was born in Timisoara, Romania of Hungarian decent and educated with a formal dance and fine art schooling. He also trained for the craft of shoemaking and he was a political refugee. Wife, Terri Brown Jurca and sons, Michael Paul Jurca and Stephan Andrew Jurca. Also survived by former wife, Clara Jurca, and sons and daughter, Anton, Zollie, and Veronique. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Following cremation, there will be a memorial service, times and place to be announced later and his cremains will be returned to his native homeland.
