Fay Janyce Hoffmann, age 84 of Pittman Center passed away quietly at her home November 15, 2002 after a long illness. She was of the Lutheran faith, and a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gatlinburg. She was also a member of the Gatlinburg Garden Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a tournament level Duplicate Bridge player. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Leonard Carl Hoffmann, Colonel, USAF, Retired. Survivors: Daughter: Lynn Gearhart and husband Gary and their children Tara, Alissa, and Reagan Gearhart all of LaSalle, Illinois Son: Leonard Hoffmann, Jr. and wife Pamela and their daughter Larady Hoffmann all of Pittman Center. Daughter: Laurie Arnold and husband Darrell and their children Jessica, Amber and Dustin Arnold all of Pittman Center. Sister: Lauryne Hussey of Singer Island, Florida Numerous family and friends around the world. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Interment will be with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC. She will be sorely missed, as all who knew her loved her.
