Floyd T. Vick, Sr.

Vick, Floyd T., Sr., age 83 of Seymour, passed away Monday, November 11, 2002 at Northhaven Health Care Center. Former owner of Floyd Vick TV and Appliances and later retired from Lowe's after ten years of service. Member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mr. Vick served in the Navy during World War II. Floyd will be missed by many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by Jean D. Vick, who was married to Mr. Vick for 41 years prior to her death. Wife, Ann Vick; daughters and sons in law, Beverly and Tom Webb, Sharon and Jim Haehnlein, Cheryl and Kenneth Cooper, Cindy and Powell McCarty; sons and daughter in law, Tommy and Diane Vick II, and Jimmy Vick; brother, Hale Vick and wife, Ludeen; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Celebrating will be Bishop Joseph E. Kurtz, Father James Haley and presider Father James Vick. Entombment will be at Highland South Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Catholic Relief Services, c/o Catholic Charities of East Tennessee, 119 Dameron Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37917. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway with a prayer service to follow at 8:30 p.m.
