Ruth Moore Ownby

Ruth Moore Ownby, age 74 of Sevierville, passed away Monday, May 27, 2002 at Sevier County Health Care Center. She was a member of Second Baptist church and was preceded in death by her husband Chester Ownby; parents Luther and Martha Moore; brothers Dexter, Hugh, Edward, Posie and Charles G. Moore; sisters Hattie Moore, Lossie Cusick and Faye Pitner. Survivors: Brother and sisters-in-law: John H. and Estalee Moore; Carolyn June Moore Sisters and brothers-in-law: Fannie and Robert Cody; Edna and Bruce Carr; Howard Pitner Several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas Moore and Rev. Danny Murr officiating. Interment 11 AM Thursday in Gist’s Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:30 -7 PM Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
